I'm really beginning to enjoy African-American history.
At first I was just sitting in class not really connecting my history (the history of my family) to African-American history as a whole. But just learning about the struggles Black people went through to gain more freedoms that should have been given in a so called “equal” world… that’s empowering.
I am more proud of my race than I ever was before today.

I finally changed my tumblr name.
I wanted to be primadonna.tumblr.com, but that one is taken already. So I decided to be “primera dama”, which according to wikipedia in espanol and translate.google.com is first lady in spanish.
i’m a sucker for other languages, they just sound so much better.
